MM&Co began with marquee clients in travel, lifestyle and fashion under the management of it’s highly experienced and polished team. Their client list included Volkswagen Group, Vogue Australia/News Limited Magazines, Karma Resorts, Lovable, Cointreau, Plymouth, Piper-Heidsieck, Philip Shaw Wines, Hilton International and boutique brands including Rae’s On Wategos, Nielsen Park, Manta and Watermark. In 2008 the transition away from top fashion clients to a specialist consultancy in travel and lifestyle was made.

As the scope of public relations expertise has continued to expand, so too has the service offered to our clients. With the introduction of our creative arm, overseen by Creative Director James Manning, MM&Co offers clients a full communications service, including corporate communications, public relations, social media, brand communications, online content generation and image galleries, copywriting, graphic and web design. 2012 also saw the introduction of an Asian-based practise, overseen by former Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts colleague, Diane Fermin Roeder.

AMANDA MANNING

 

Amanda Manning (Young) began her public relations career in New York, where for twelve years she worked in the fashion press offices at CHANEL Inc. and Polo Ralph Lauren before starting her own consulting business after the birth of her daughter, Yasmin. As a consultant, Amanda worked with companies including Holland & Holland (part of the CHANEL stable of brands), Conde Nast, Loro Piana, Polo Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Greenhouse Spas, Bryant Park Hotel, The Shore Club Miami, LeSportsac, Temple St. Clair and Lela Rose.

 

As a dual US and Australian national, Amanda then moved to Sydney with her Australian husband. After her tenure as General Manager of Colvin Communications, representing brands that included Gucci, Tourism Australia, Hilton Hotels International, Volkswagen Group Australia, Orlando Wyndham, Lovable, Bally and Westfield, among others, Amanda joined her colleague, Natalie Middleton, to create a company that married their different talents and allowed them to work in close partnership with both their clients and the media. Amanda and Natalie continued to work for many years with a number of their existing clients following their departure from Colvin Communications – including Lovable, Volkswagen Group Australia and Hilton International.

NATALIE MIDDLETON

 

Natalie Middleton began her career as an Account Manager/Publicist in advertising, developing brand awareness for beauty, fashion and alcohol clients including Aesop, Michelle Jank, Akira, Knob Creek, Remy Martin and Finlandia Vodka.

 

Natalie then joined Tucker Seabrook, a distribution company for premium wines and spirits, where she was a Brand Development Executive for Skyy Vodka, Grand Marnier and Campari. Within this role, Natalie specifically worked on marketing strategies, event management and media relations.

 

During her time at Colvin Communications, Natalie worked as an Account Director on marquee clients including Volkswagen Group Australia, Tourism Australia, Westfield, Lovable, Hilton International, LivingWell Health Clubs and Orlando Wyndham. Following Colvin Communications, Natalie then joined Amanda Manning and they began their careers as Company Directors.

 

Natalie’s talents see her travelling extensively throughout the world, where she continues to maintain incredible relationships with high-profile media representatives and clients alike.

JAMES MANNING

 

James Manning is a Senior Creative and Copywriter with over 18 years industry experience in Sydney and New York. Since 2004, James has been a Director and Senior Creative with MM&Co, working with such clients as InterContinental Hotels Group, Australian Wool Innovation, Maxxium Australia, Goodman Fielder, Volkswagen Group Australia, Champion Apparel, Lovable, Meat & Livestock Australia, Plymouth, TORCH and Cointreau. Prior to this, James was a Senior Creative with established New York agency, Mecca Studios and Patterson Partners Adcafe in Sydney. James has also served as Senior Creative at PhD Creative. As the BTL Agency for McDonald’s Australia & NZ, James assisted the Design Director in leading the Creative Team responsible for the rollout and design of POP and through the line communications for this iconic brand, including all photography, copywriting and branding.

 

Whilst in New York James worked with The New York Knicks, New York Rangers, Hasbro, Disney, Baby Einstein, Frédéric Fekkai, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of NYC and Nintendo Pokémon.

 

Recently, James also worked with the Australian National University to assist in the rollout of their highly successful new brand identity. James is currently working with New York based author and producer Leopoldo Gout illustrating a high profile young adult book series.

DIANE FERMIN ROEDER

 

A dedicated marketing and communications specialist, Diane Fermin Roeder has pursued challenging leadership opportunities in the international luxury hospitality and financial services industries, carving out a fifteen-year career that has spanned the Philippines, Hong Kong, the US and China. She has criss-crossed the globe whilst working for companies such as Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and American Express Company International whilst in between, obtaining her MBA at New York City’s Fordham University Graduate School of Business. After spending the last eight years of her corporate career in Beijing and Shanghai, these days she is based in southern China happily serving as MM&Co’s Senior Consultant for Asia.

HEVIE URSULA ARNADA

 

Based in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia, Hevie is fluent in both English and Bahasa. Hevie has long standing and excellent relationships with the media in Indonesia and works very closely with them to coordinate daily coverage in the nation’s leading publications. Hevie is also an invaluable manager of our clippings service and reporting mechanisms, liaising closely with the media and our administrative staff based in Hong Kong and Australia, to ensure reporting is maximized for our clients.

EMMA CHEN

 

After graduating from the Beijing campus of Australian-based Blue Mountain Hotel Management School, Emma Chen embarked on a hospitality industry career focused exclusively on China , first working for Starwood Hotels and Resorts and eventually moving on to Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. Over a five-year period at China World Hotel, Beijing, she built and maintained solid media relationships as she played an instrumental management support role in communications and Beijing media relations and food and beverage promotions.

ADMINISTRATION

 

Overseeing our team of administrative staff in China, Hong Kong and Australia respectively, Qing Qing Chen, Joanna Cheng and Jacinda Davis handle all translations, conference calls, meeting schedules, client mailings and other tasks that require a personal touch. Whether it be managing RSVP’s to events, coordinating journalist itineraries and travel arrangements or simply assisting a client or journalist with the smallest of details, our administrative staff are hardworking, conscientious, positive and a pleasure to work with for both the MM&Co team, as well as the clients and journalists who consistently praise their diligence.
